When planning a beach day in Puerto Rico, choosing delicious and healthy snacks can make a big difference in your energy levels and support your lifestyle choices. Here are some tasty, nutritious, low-calorie, and easy-to-prepare snack ideas to keep you satisfied while you enjoy the sun and sand. You’ll love them!

Fresh Tropical Fruits: Mangoes, pineapples, and melons, for example, are perfect for keeping you hydrated and full. These fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals and have a low calorie content. You can either prepare them in cubes or make a tropical fruit salad to take along.

Veggie Sticks with Hummus: Carrot, cucumber, and celery sticks are ideal for a refreshing snack. Additionally, pair them with homemade or store-bought hummus to add protein and fiber, creating a tasty and low-calorie combination.

Greek Yogurt with Fruits: Plain Greek yogurt is an excellent source of protein and calcium. Add fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries for a touch of natural sweetness and an extra dose of antioxidants.

Nuts and Seeds: A small handful of almonds, walnuts, or chia seeds offers a perfect mix of healthy fats and protein. They are higher in calories, however, a controlled portion can be a satisfying snack without overdoing it.

Turkey and Veggie Roll-Ups: Prepare turkey roll-ups with spinach or local lettuce. Add slices of bell peppers, carrots, and tomatoes for a protein-rich, low-calorie snack. These roll-ups are easy to make and perfect for taking to the beach.

Homemade Kale Chips: Make your own kale chips in the air fryer. This crunchy alternative to potato chips is low in calories and rich in fiber and antioxidants. Simply season and bake until crispy.

Refreshing Green Smoothie: Prepare a green smoothie with spinach, cucumber, green apple, and a bit of lemon. This smoothie is hydrating, low in calories, and additionally, will provide you with a natural energy boost.

These options, in addition to being nutritious and low in calories, will help keep you cool and energized throughout your beach day. Enjoy the sea breeze and delicious healthy food!

Bonus Tip: Pack extra because I’m sure your friends and family will also want some.
