Tips to Improve Your Online Presence

Since we created What’s Up Rincón, we’ve always had two main goals:

✌🏼 To help local businesses become more visible and communicate effectively.

Social media has proven to be one of the most valuable tools for achieving both goals. We consistently share and amplify messages, events, hours of operation, menus, and other announcements from businesses in Rincón, Añasco, and Aguada. However, for this to be effective, each post must be clear, specific, and provide comprehensive information.

Here are some tips on how to make each social media post count:

1. ALWAYS include the town where your business is located and, if possible, even a pin with the exact location. We can’t assume everyone knows where you’re situated, and the goal is to reach as many people as possible, including those outside your immediate area. 📍
   
2. Add your operating hours to all your posts. People may see your message days or even weeks after you post it on social media. If a potential customer arrives at your business and finds it closed due to lack of information, it leaves a bad impression and could cost you a new or repeat customer. ⏰
   
3. Use eye-catching, high-resolution images that accurately reflect the products or services you offer. Avoid pixelated photos, watermarked images, or those taken from websites where you don’t have distribution rights. 📸
   
4. Include clear and direct calls to action. Encourage your followers to interact with your posts, whether you invite them to comment, share, or visit your website for more details. End each message with an invitation: Visit us! Call us! Try us out! 🫵🏼
