Halloween 2025: Spooky Fun Across Western Puerto Rico
Halloween is approaching, and western Puerto Rico is full of events for every kind of ghoul, ghost, and family looking for a good scare. From family-friendly activities to costume contests, immersive haunted experiences, and nightlife, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Family-Friendly Fun
Families can kick off the Halloween season with unique events. Wabbles Milk Bar in Rincón offers pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, and goodie bags for children on October 18 and 25. Another must-see tradition is the Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest at Black Eagle Beach, hosted by Rincón Diving & Snorkeling on October 25. Teams dive underwater to carve pumpkins, judged by spectators and local judges, while the public can watch for free.
La Marketa is hosting a pumpkin carving party on October 26, where the best creations will win prizes. The same day, The English Rose will have a Halloween swim costume party with music by SOI Music and Soundsystem. Gift certificates go to the best spooky swimwear.
For cultural celebrations, Aqua Marina Beach Club invites the community to Día de los Muertos on November 2, with face painting inspired by Catrinas, traditional food, live music, and community memorial spaces.
The malls are joining the fun as well. At Mayagüez Mall, children can take photos with characters like Sonic, Mario, and Glinda on October 31. At Aguadilla Mall, a Meet & Greet with Coco and Jack Skellington will take place on the same day.
Halloween Nightlife and Parties
Western Puerto Rico offers exciting Halloween nightlife for those looking to celebrate with music, drinks, and dancing. DJs and live performances create a night of dark elegance and unforgettable energy.
Aqua Marina Beach Club offers Fright Nights on October 18 and 25, featuring specialty drinks, live entertainment, and poolside fun. On October 31, the venue hosts a full Halloween night with a haunted house, pool party, DJs, VIP tables, and a costume contest with cash prizes.
Other nightlife highlights include D’Island Bar & Grill’s Halloween Fest on October 30, featuring Juanco & Los Radicales and Banda Thomy La Raza, with costume prizes included. Haunted and Immersive Experiences
For thrill-seekers, western Puerto Rico has a number of immersive haunted experiences.
Paranormal Nights in Añasco is open Thursday to Sunday from September 25 through November 9, including the last full week of October. This year features two intense experiences: the Haunted Hospital, where visitors explore a cursed institution filled with tragedies and rituals, and the Laberinto Sin Salida, a labyrinth designed to disorient and challenge even the bravest souls. Live actors, immersive effects, and sensory technology make this edition the most ambitious yet. General admission is $40, and VIP Fast Passes are $45.
